our space
Located in the heart of Downtown Sycamore, M.C. Beauty is lucky to call a piece of local history home. Our space was once part of the historic Fargo Hotel, a building that has been a recognizable part of the Sycamore community for generations.
We’re honored to continue keeping its doors open and give this beautiful space a new life as a salon + spa. Some of the original floors and doors still remain today, adding so much character and charm to our home.
We feel incredibly lucky to work within a space that holds so much history, while creating a new chapter of our own inside its walls!

SALON
From precision haircuts and fun fashion colors to soft, lived-in highlights and luxurious extension options, our salon offers a little bit of everything. We’re here to collaborate with you on your vision while always keeping the health and integrity of your hair at the forefront!
We’re proud to carry Davines as our primary hair care line, both in our services and for your at-home routine.
SPA
Whether you’re looking for a deeply relaxing head spa experience or ongoing support with your skincare and beauty routine, our spa is designed to be your one-stop destination. We offer head spa services, facials, brow and lash services, and body waxing in a calm, welcoming environment.
We’re proud to use Green Envee, Bushbalm, and Brow Code throughout our spa services, with professional at-home maintenance options available to help you continue your results between appointments.

A few helpful tips can make booking your first appointment a little easier:
Highlight + Dimensional Services
Any service that involves lightener and foils should be booked as either a Partial Dimensional or Full Dimensional. If you’re unsure which one is right for you, check out our blog post for a full breakdown to help you choose!
Major Hair Transformations
If you’re considering a creative color, platinum look, color correction, or another big change, we strongly recommend starting with a complimentary consultation. This gives you time to sit down with your service provider, talk through your goals, make sure the service is achievable, set clear price expectations, and create a thoughtful maintenance plan before moving forward.
Extra-Long or Dense Hair
Our online hair services are booked using a standard base time. If you feel your hair may require additional time, please call or text the salon before booking. We can help customize your appointment so enough time is reserved to provide the service and results you’re looking for.
Head Spa Services
Please note that Head Spa services do not include a blowout. If you’d like your hair blow-dried and styled after your service, a blowout will need to be booked separately in addition to your Head Spa appointment.
Booking Confirmation
After booking online, you should receive a confirmation email and text message. If you don’t receive either, please contact the salon so we can make sure your appointment went through correctly.

Receptionist Hours
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 9am-5pm
Tuesday: 9am-12pm
If you contact us outside of these hours, please leave us a message with your reason for contacting and we will get back to you during our next set of reception hours!
